Seller Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to sell my home?
There are many variables that affect how long it will take to sell your home. The first is the condition of the market, meaning how many buyers are out there looking vs. the inventory of homes they have to choose from in certain areas/neighborhoods. In addition price, location, home condition, competition and marketing all affect how long it will take for your home to sell. When we meet I will provide you with regional, city and neighborhood statistics. Together we will review your competition so that you have a better understanding of what other home buyers will be comparing your home to. Our goal together is to sell your home as quickly as possible!
What do I need to do to get my home ready to sell?
Of course you will want to get your home in top showing condition, so to help you do that I bring in a professional stager to work with you for two hours at no cost. The professional stager will walk through your home with you and provide you with input and tips on how to make your home most appealing to the current buyers.
What will you do to help sell my home?
There are many basic industry marketing tactics that all real estate agents do when they list a home; such as putting in a yard sign, creating home flyers and holding open houses. In addition to the basics, I use my marketing background to create a true customized marketing plan for each home I list. Together we will build a marketing plan to attract the greatest amount of qualified home buyers and other real estate agents representing buyers.
How do we determine the right price to list my home at?
This will be done by looking at the comparative market analysis (CMA), regional market conditions and possibly other unique factors to your home.
How much does it cost to work with you?
The majority of real estate agents that work with the larger companies in the Twin Cities have a very similar fee structure. We are paid on commission, based on the sales price of your home. This is something I'd be happy to discuss with you in person.
